Emrick to Announce Legislation Dealing with Delaware River Bridge Toll Hike

WHAT: State Rep. Joe Emrick (R-Northampton) will hold a press conference to announce legislation in reaction to the recent toll rate increase instituted by the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC). Emrick originally spoke out against the toll, which was instituted without citizen input. His June 23 call for a one-year moratorium on the increase was ignored by the DRJTBC.


The legislation is being introduced in conjunction with corresponding bills already in place in New Jersey.


WHO: Emrick will be joined by state Rep. Bob Freeman (D-Northampton) and Pat Boynton, representing the Office of New Jersey State Sen. Mike Doherty

(R-23rd District).
