Key education legislation to be considered - On Wednesday, Nov. 16, the House Education Committee, of which I am a member, will meet to vote two key pieces of legislation. My House Bill 1823 would give school districts the option of contracting with private driver training school instructors or directors to provide the classroom portion of driver education instruction without obtaining a Pennsylvania teacher certification.

Also being voted is
House Bill 1980, which would establish a statewide, comprehensive teacher evaluation system.
