Emrick Announces $10,000 Grant For Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity
HARRISBURG – State Rep. Joe Emrick (R-Northampton) is pleased to announce Nazareth Borough is the recipient of a $10,000 grant for the Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity through the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s (PDEs) Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund.

“This is a great day for our community, the library and its employees,” Emrick said. “I need to also recognize Nazareth Borough for their efforts in applying for the grant as part of a very competitive process, and their being rewarded for doing so.”

The grant, which will be used to replace an oil furnace which heats a significant portion of the building, may be applied to pay up to 50 percent of costs related to construction and rehabilitation of a library facility. All applications were reviewed by a team of peer review readers and objectively ranked as part of a highly-competitive process.

“I was pleased to provide my full support on behalf of the library as part of the application process,” added Emrick. “I realize the number of people who depend on the services provided by the library, and am happy to see them receive this grant.”
