Emrick to Host Legislative Breakfasts, ID Theft Seminars

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Joe Emrick (R-Northampton) will host a number of outreach events in the month of July for residents of the 137th Legislative District. The first of these is a series of three legislative breakfasts.

“Events like this serve as an opportunity for me to touch base with my constituents and address their legislative concerns,” Emrick said. “I’m hoping for a good turnout and looking forward to the chance to answer any questions about state government issues.”

Emrick’s legislative breakfasts all begin at 7:30 a.m. on the following dates:

·         Friday, July 6 - Forks Diner, 3315 Sullivan Trail, Easton 18040.

·         Wednesday, July 11 - Nazareth Diner, 581 S Broad St., Nazareth 18064.

·         Friday, July 13 - Trolley Shops Restaurant, 257 East Central Ave., Bangor 18013.

Seating is limited at each of these locations. As a result, Emrick is asking anyone planning to attend one of the breakfasts to call his Mt. Bethel district office at (570) 897-0401 or his Nazareth district office at (610) 746-5090 to reserve a spot.

Emrick will also host a pair of identity theft seminars for senior citizens.

“Each year, more than 10 million Americans have their personal information -- including

name, Social Security number, bank account or credit card number – stolen,” commented Emrick. “The need for our citizens, particularly our seniors, to be aware of the threat to their well-being that identity theft can cause cannot be understated.”

The seminars will take place Wednesday, July 25, at the following times and locations:

·         10 a.m. - Blue Valley Farm Show, 707 American Bangor Road, Bangor 18013.

·         2 p.m. – Moravian Hall Square, 175 West North St., Nazareth 18064.

Emrick is again asking anyone hoping to attend one of the seminars to call one of his district offices to let them know they will be coming.
