Local Legislators Reach Out to County Veterans
NAZARETH – State Reps. Joe Emrick (R-Nazareth) and Marcia Hahn (R-Bushkill Township) are reminding Northampton County veterans about outreach services available to them every month.

“According to the Northampton County Department of Veterans Affairs, there are approximately 20,000 veterans living in the county,” Emrick said. “The service we are providing offers them a chance to check out individual programs that may be available to them.”

A representative from the Pennsylvania American Legion is available the first Monday of every month, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in Emrick’s Nazareth district office, 134 South Main Street. Veterans may meet with that same representative the second Wednesday of every month, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in Hahn’s district office, 196 West Moorestown Road, Bushkill Township.

“This is a great opportunity for veterans to have specific questions answered on an individual basis,” Hahn added. “We simply ask anyone who is interested in taking advantage of this service to please call ahead and schedule a meeting time.”

Appointments may be set up through Emrick’s office by calling (570) 897-0401 or (610) 746-5090. To schedule an appointment with Hahn’s office, please call (610) 746-2100.
