HARRISBURG – On Jan. 5, Rep. Joe Emrick (R-Northampton) began his sixth term as a Pennsylvania state representative after being sworn in alongside his fellow House colleagues for the 2021-22 legislative session.

“I am proud to serve the 137th Legislative District and always appreciate the continued support I’ve received from our communities,” said Emrick. “Swearing-In day did prove to be difficult as we lost our colleague and my good friend Rep. Mike Reese (R-Westmoreland/Somerset) unexpectedly on Jan. 2, 2021,” Emrick added. “He will be missed deeply by all of us in the General Assembly. I offer my deepest condolences to his wife and children.”

Emrick will also serve as a House deputy whip and sits on the House Consumer Affairs, Local Government, Professional Licensure and Tourism and Recreational Development committees during the current session.

Questions about this or any legislative issue should be directed to Emrick’s district office at (610) 588-8011 or (610) 746-5090.
